Lung Cancer Screening

It looks like you might be eligible for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

Based on your responses, you appear to meet the criteria for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program. This Medicare-subsidised program offers free low-dose CT scans for early lung cancer detection, which could be life-saving.

Your Next Steps:

  1. Speak with your GP – Discuss your eligibility and obtain a referral for a low-dose CT scan
  2. Contact our practice – Mr Adrian Pick’s team can guide you through the screening process and answer any questions you may have
  3. Book your screening – Once you have a referral, schedule your low-dose CT scan at an accredited imaging centre

Important: If you develop any symptoms such as a persistent or changed cough, coughing up blood, unexplained shortness of breath, chest pain, or unexplained weight loss, please seek medical attention immediately rather than waiting for screening.

Early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes. When lung cancer is found at Stage 1, survival rates are substantially higher, and minimally invasive surgical options are often available.
